A lifelong passion became a brand.

Beaks was founded by Michael Spohn with the help of his dad and uncle. The idea was inspired by one of Michael's greatest passions: rubber ducks.

Michael has built an extensive and ever-growing collection of ducks found in vending machines, bowling alleys, movie theaters, malls, airport gift shops, thrift stores and just about anywhere else a new duck might appear.

Through his MikeBros and MikeBros Media videos, Michael gives his ducks voices, personalities and their own character identities. People who know Michael understand how much the collection means to him, and friends and family regularly bring him new ducks discovered during their travels.

Michael is also a co-founder of Shockwave Threads, an apparel printing company he operates with his dad in Central Florida. One day, a simple question brought everything together: What if Michael could create his own rubber ducks, turn those characters into apparel and build an entire brand around the thing he loves most?

That is how Beaks was born.
